Florida Keys RV rentals, brought to your campsite

Rent a travel trailer or a motorhome from its owner and have it brought down US-1 to the site you booked. A trailer runs about $110 a night and a Class A about $385. Nearly every host who can reach the Keys offers delivery, for a fee they set.

Key Largo has the most choice. Key West has the least, at a lower typical rate. Get your campsite first, then pick the RV.

How far down

The further you go, the fewer RVs will come

Almost every RV for the Keys is kept on the mainland, in Miami and Homestead. Each host sets how far they will drive it. So the question that decides your choice is simple: which key are you staying on?

Typical nights are the median Outdoorsy day rate on October 8, 2026, before delivery, tax and the campsite. Day rates ran $68 to $1,500.

Picking up yourself instead? The drive-yourself counters sit around Homestead and Florida City, the last stop before the Keys, and most owners are further north in Miami. And if you want it brought to you, the delivery guide has what hosts charge and which campgrounds say yes. Driving down yourself? Here is what the Overseas Highway and the Seven Mile Bridge ask of an RV.

Where to stay

Keys campgrounds that take an RV

Three state parks take RVs: Pennekamp in Key Largo, Curry Hammock in Marathon and Bahia Honda on Big Pine Key. Private parks run from Key Largo to Stock Island. Every night in an RV here is a night on a paid site, so start with one of these.

What decides it here

42 sites with full hookups, and two official figures for how long an RV can be: the park page says most sites take 40 ft, the reservation system lists 62.

Curry Hammock State Park

What decides it here

The easiest state park in the Keys for a big rig: 70 ft maximum, 28 gravel sites with 50 amp and water, and a dump station. The catch is the 14-night cap and the three nights out after it, which a delivered trailer cannot do on its own.

Lower Keys

Bahia Honda State Park

What decides it here

Three loops, three different answers. Buttonwood takes large RVs, Sandspur stops at 23 ft hitch to bumper, and Bayside sits behind a bridge with 6 ft 8 in of clearance.

Middle Keys

Long Key State Park

What decides it here

Long Key takes no RVs. Its campground is hike-in tent sites with no hookups, so an RV booked for Long Key has nowhere to park.

Key West RV parks

What decides it here

Three parks, three different catches. Boyd's takes 45 ft only in select sites and sets a four-night minimum over Fantasy Fest and the holidays. Leo's stops at 42 ft counting bumpers and bike racks. Bluewater turns away late arrivals and bans driving the RV once you're in.

What we found

Almost nothing is parked in the Keys

Within 50 miles of Marathon, which takes in Key Largo to Key West and none of the mainland, Outdoorsy had 2 RVs listed. Widen the circle to 100 miles and there are 144, nearly all in Miami and Homestead. 81 of them have a host whose delivery range reaches Key Largo. Only 43 reach Key West.

Then the campground has its say. Bahia Honda's Sandspur loop takes rigs up to 23 feet, hitch to bumper. Of the 71 RVs that can be delivered there, 11 are that short. Florida residents can book a state park site 11 months out and everyone else 10, so visitors from out of state start a month behind.

Own an RV in the Keys?

You would be one of very few. Nearly every RV a Keys visitor can rent is driven down from the mainland. See what your class earns a night before you decide.

How it works

How it works

1

Book the campsite

State park sites open 11 months ahead for Florida residents and 10 for everyone else. Private parks set their own windows. The site is the hard part, so it comes first.

2

Find an RV that gets there

Pick an RV whose host delivers to your key and that is short enough for your loop. Check the arrival cutoff at the campground too.

3

Book with the host

Booking, payment and the rules are between you and the owner on Outdoorsy. Nearly every host that reaches the Keys delivers, each setting their own fee, so agree the campground, site number and arrival time in the same conversation.

4

Collect and go

The host walks you through the rig. Roadside assistance on an eligible Outdoorsy booking comes from Outdoorsy's protection, not from the owner and not from here.

Why start here

Your Florida Keys RV rental source

Matched to your key

Every RV here has a host whose delivery range reaches the Keys. Pick your key and you see the ones that will actually come that far.

The campground rules, read

Pennekamp, Curry Hammock, Bahia Honda and the Key West parks each publish different limits and arrival rules. They came off the campgrounds' own pages.

Told when nobody knows

Most campgrounds say nothing about delivered rentals. Where a park or a host publishes nothing, this site says so and tells you who to call.

Questions

What people ask before they rent an RV for the Keys

No. Every RV is somebody else's, booked through Outdoorsy, and the host sets the price, the delivery fee and the rules. Nearly all of them are kept on the mainland: of the 144 RVs listed within 100 miles of Marathon, 2 were based in the Keys themselves. So the host's delivery range matters more here than almost anywhere.

Across the 81 Outdoorsy RVs whose host delivers as far as Key Largo, the typical day rate was $165, and the range ran $68 to $1,500. By class: travel trailer $110, Class C $256, Class A $385. None of that includes delivery, Florida's 6% tax on the rental, or the campsite, which carries 12.5% tax of its own in Monroe County. The full arithmetic is on the cost page.

Usually, yes, and it is how most people do it. 98.8% of the RVs that can reach the Keys offer delivery. 81 have a delivery range that reaches Key Largo, 75 Marathon and 43 Key West. 37 publish a per-mile fee, typically $4 a mile. Outdoorsy does not say whether that range is road miles or a straight line, so confirm the exact drop with the host before you pay.

Most of them do not say. Jolly Roger in Marathon is the only campground we found that says it works with companies that deliver and set up rented RVs. Keys Palms in Key Largo allows only licensed and insured vendors on the property. Florida State Parks publishes no rule on delivered rentals at all. Call the campground before you book the RV, because a drop that the gate turns away is still a delivery fee you paid.

As far ahead as you are allowed. Florida residents can book state park sites 11 months out and non-residents 10, with new dates released daily at 8 a.m. Eastern. The Curry Hammock and Bahia Honda park pages only say 11 months, which is the resident window. Book the site first, then the RV. No source we found permits overnight RV parking outside a campground in the Keys.

No. Florida State Parks caps a single reservation at 14 nights, wants at least three nights out of the park between reservations, and allows no more than 56 nights in one park in six months. A month in the Keys means a private park. Jolly Roger publishes winter monthly rates of $3,366 to $3,698 and Boyd's in Key West $5,400 for an inland site in peak season, both before the 12.5% tax.

Not that we found. Monroe County code presumes an RV parked on the US-1 right of way between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. is camping, and bans camping on county property at any hour. Florida State Parks bans overnight stays in day-use lots. Key West bans sleeping in any vehicle on public property. No source we read permits it anywhere; the rules of Islamorada, Marathon, Layton and Key Colony Beach were not part of that reading. Plan every night on a paid site.

You can drive through, but you cannot park it on the street. Key West code keeps any RV over 20 feet long or 7 feet wide off city streets, occupied or not, and the city's oversize lots are day use only. Stay at a campground on Stock Island or further up the Keys and go into town by car, bike or bus.

At least 21, and often 25. Of the 81 RVs that can reach Key Largo, 50 require the driver to be 25 and 31 accept 21. Some campgrounds have their own rule too: Key Largo Kampground requires the guest checking in to be 25 or older, whatever the rental allows.

In a major storm, visitors and RVs leave first. Monroe County's plan orders non-residents, visitors, RVs and travel trailers out about 48 hours before tropical-storm winds for a Category 3 to 5 hurricane, ahead of residents. The only copy we found is a November 2025 draft plan amendment, so follow the county's own orders on the day. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. Read the cancellation tier on the listing and the campground's refund policy before you book in season.
