RV types you can rent for the Florida Keys
Reviewed by Ben Kiser, RV rental operator and fleet consultant.
Six kinds of RV, from a trailer the host tows down and leaves on your site to a Class A you can stand up and cook in. The class moves the price more than the dates do: a Class A RV costs about 3.5 times what a Travel Trailer does.

Florida Keys RV rental cost: a full week with the site, the tax and delivery added
Why a trailer often suits the Keys better
48 percent of the RVs that serve the Keys are towed, and nearly every one of them is delivered. The host brings it down US-1, leaves it on your site and collects it at the end. You keep your own car for the drive into town.
A week in the middle Class C costs $1,022 more than a week in the middle travel trailer. In most places that buys freedom to move. Here it buys less, because the RV mostly stays parked: Key West keeps big RVs off its streets, and Bluewater Key bans driving one at all once you have checked in.
When a drivable is worth it
If the plan is three nights at Pennekamp, three at Curry Hammock and a night in Key West, a motorhome saves asking a host to move a trailer between parks. If it is a week on one site, it rarely earns its premium.
Only one drivable RV among the 42 that serve the Keys is short enough to park on a Key West street, and it is a Class B RV.
Pick the class
Each page shows the live listings first, then what that class costs here, how it gets to your site, and which Keys campgrounds it suits.
